We share opportunities

Thematic blocks of the SUMMIT

Workshop block 1

One-day training in the method of laser lenticule removal is an intensive course for ophthalmologists that includes theoretical knowledge, demonstrations, and practical sessions aimed at mastering modern approaches to vision correction. Participants will gain skills in using the equipment and techniques for lenticule removal, as well as the opportunity to ask questions to experts and discuss innovations in the field of laser vision correction.

Stromal rings are microscopic structures that are formed in the root tissue during laser treatment. They are used to correct the shape of the horn, which allows to reduce or eliminate refractive anomalies such as myopia (short-sightedness).

Femto LASIK is a laser procedure of vision correction, which combines the use of femtosecond laser and excimer laser. The femtosecond laser initially creates a thin flap of the horn, and then the excimer laser corrects its shape. This method ensures high accuracy and reduces the risk of complications.

CLEAR
(Corneal Lenticule Extraction for Advanced Refractive Surgery) is a laser vision correction procedure that uses a femtosecond laser to create and remove a lenticule (a small disc of tissue) from within the cornea, reshaping it to correct refractive errors like nearsightedness and astigmatism. It's a minimally invasive, flapless procedure, offering a faster recovery and potentially lower risk of dry eyes compared to LASIK.

Keratopigmentation, specifically the FLAAK® technique used for changing eye color. This procedure, also known as corneal keratopigmentation, involves using a laser to create a pocket in the cornea and then depositing a biocompatible pigment to alter the iris color.

WetLab refractive surgery

block 3

During the Master Klass, you will be able to learn the techniques of laser procedures with the help of a company engineer and an expert specializing in these areas. The training is conducted by Ivo Durkovic. Photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) and laser subepithelial keratectomy (or laser epithelial keratomileusis (LASEK).

Photorefractive keratectomy ( PRK ) and laser subepithelial keratectomy (or laser epithelial keratomileusis (LASEK) are laser eye surgery procedures designed to correct a person's vision, reducing dependence on glasses or contact lenses. LASEK and PRK irreversibly reshape the anterior central portion of the cornea by using an excimer laser to ablate (remove by vaporization) a small amount of tissue from the corneal stroma at the front of the eye, just beneath the corneal epithelium. Before ablation, the outer layer of the cornea is removed.

CLEAR

(Corneal Lenticule Extraction for Advanced Refractive correction) is a minimally invasive, flapless refractive surgery that uses a femtosecond laser to remove a small lenticule from within the cornea, correcting vision without creating a corneal flap.

Manual keratopigmentation is a method of coloring the cornea on eyes with no vision and no iris or eyes with corneal opacity (corneal opacity). This method is used for cosmetic purposes, to enhance the aesthetic appearance of the eyes. To make the eyes look visually the same even though they have no visual function.

An intravitreal injection is a procedure where medication is injected directly into the vitreous humor, the gel-like substance filling the inside of the eye. This method is used to treat various retinal conditions by delivering high concentrations of medication directly to the back of the eye.

Individual Training

block 4
